Whilst the Elonex Webbook is an Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC) it's specifications do not exactly match any of the Asus Eee PCs so it is not easy to directly compare prices.
The webbook has a 10.2" screen, Windows XP and an 80GB hard disk so is similar to the Eee 1000H costing approximately £350 to £360. But the 1000H boasting 1GB RAM, 802.11n wireless networking, Bluetooth and a longer run time due to the Intel Atom processor and 6 cell battery, is a far superior machine.
Performance wise the Elonex Webbook will probably come in somewhere between the 7" Eee 701 and the 8.9" Eee 900. It has a bigger screen and hard disk than both, but the 701 and 900 are smaller, lighter and benefit from the speed of the shockproof solid state disk.
Its horses for courses and the webbook does not look out of place in this field. Pick the nag that takes your fancy but remember, with the Webbook you get mobile broadband as part of the deal. You could even dump your home broadband if you live in an area with decent coverage for the Orange network.
